NO...... K1 is Non-immigrant visa

The K-1 is a nonimmigrant visa with immigrant intent, sometimes referred to by lawyers as a "hybrid" visa.

but for some reason went setting up interview online for the embassy you'll find it under "IMMIGRANT VISA"

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

The K-1 is a non-immigrant visa which is processed in the Immigrant Visa Unit of the U.S. Embassy Manila.

You can attend the interview.

Never seen a US Citizen kept from entering the embassy. It is up to the interviewing consular officer if you

will be permitted into the actual interview. I didn't even have the ask. The officer asked me if I would

like to be present.

Not all US consulates allow the US citizen to enter the embassy...... like US consulate in Nigeria, they dont allow the US citizen inside. they have to wait outside which i find ridiculous, they should have a waiting room for their citizens.

I was at the US Embassy for my interview yesterday and I've seen US citizens along with their Pinay fiancee. So yes, you are allowed to attend the interview. You may even stand right next to her when she is being interviewed. Some consuls will ask you questions too. It depends on the consul's discretion.

You can attend interviews for immigrant visas and for K1 visas. You cannot be present for tourist or other non-immigrant visa category interviews. In the former case, you are attached to the case as the petitioner and thus have a business reason for being there and the petitioner's presence may be beneficial for helping to prove that a relationship exists.

In the case of non-immigrant visas (particularly tourist), the US citizen is not attached to the application and their presence has no bearing on the qualifications for the visa.
