Hello my patient fellows!

I received my case# (by calling NVC) today. I know I can schedule the K1 visa interview on the US embassy in Moscow (Correct me if I'm wrong). Can I do this before my case has left NVC? should I wait for the Packet 3 to arrive? Please advise, Thanks

It's different for each country. For the Philippines you can with the NVC # set up medical and embassay appointments. You may want to post this in the RUB forum.

When I had my Case # received from NVC the first thing I did was my medical then after my medical I called manila philippine embassy to schedule my interview and don't forget to bring your case number when you go and have your medical because they ask you that.

Actually for Moscow you have to wait for your package to get to the embassy. It will let you schedule an interview on the website, but they will make you reschedule because they dont have your packet. Check the DHL tracking site, and when your packet arrives, schedule your interview after that.

I'm totally lost. my NVC says this

READY

Case Creation Date: 02-Aug-2013 Status Updated Date: 19-Aug-2013

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

When I called, they said just to wait till my fiancee gets packet three with instructions.
Do I wait??? Do I call???

what does it mean then if it says like the above they have scheduled and interview?????

please help me on this,,,,,,,thanks,

In Love with Rosela......

The above posts were not only from last year, but they are for an entirely different consulate than you are going through. Each consulate has different requirements and procedures. You need to know what the requirements are for yours. You can check the Malaysia portal here on VJ and check the consulate info site and reviews as well as checking the regional forum for your country.
