Its's hard to tell. But with any new implementation there are usually hick ups and could possibly be delays.

My husband & I were wondering about that last night, too. At least if it DOES affect ROC applications our spouses are already here and already have a green card + extension so, while annoying, delays don't mean any huge sacrifices, right? Bright side. I feel much worse for people petitioning for visas who are still separated, if this does cause delays in processing everything else!

So Obama's deferred program is going to start today. Do you think that with this being here affects the time that they process other immigration benefits in general, such as ROC?

I cant guess but let see what's gonna happenyes.gifyes.gifyes.gif

One thing that you can be SURE is it'll be a HUGE impact in the LA field office.

We already know how SLOW and ineffective LA office already is, adding a huge load of the deferred program to already overloaded office.

For those who are having ROC, fingers crossed that your application don't get relocated to LA Field office, like mine did, which is STILL pending while my naturalization oath is in a week.

Jump on the wagon before the huge backlog of application puts everything to a halt.

I was wondering this too. Where do Lockbox filings end up? Are they adjudicated in Service Centers or somewhere else. If they go to CSC or VSC for adjudication then I am virtually certain that ROC apps will be slowed down.
See post #1 in this thread, si man (sigh, man):

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).
