How long does a phone company keep records of the calls on an old number you use to have or account you canceled and no longer use? I use to have T-mobile back in 2007 when my Fiance and I first started talking and I would hope they can pull those records up and now I have Metro PCS and unfortunately they don't keep records of long distance incoming calls or outgoing... :( My Fiance; in the UK has always used a pre-paid card to top his phone to call me which is the norm in the UK. I have one of the prepaid cards he uses to load his phone to call me and I have kept the phone cards I've used to call him since he doesn't have a land line. Should I explain this in the letter I'm suppose to type up and send the cards I have for some type of proof? blink.gif

We never even used phone records. Are you referring to the filing of the I-129F petition? Or the K1? What letter are you talking about?

And no, the police can't give you phone records.

What part of the process are you currently undergoing? If you fill out your timeline, it will help others to respond better.

I am applying for the K-1 Visa but on the I129F Form Question 18 I'm asked to explain our relationship and our meeting. I'm preparing my packet. So I'm wanting to send these things as part of my evidence of our relationship & phone records would be a whole lot easier than explaining all the pre-paid cards on the letter. lol wacko.gif

Don't even bother explaining at this point. When we submitted our I-129F we didn't include any phone records. Those are things you might be expected to have at the interview stage. For now, submit plane tickets, passport stamps, hotel receipts, etc. You are not proving an ongoing relationship at this point. Only the proof of meeting in person within two years is required!

Many of us submit 'some' additional proof of the relationship, but many don't even bother.

And to be honest, when you get to the interview, they or may not even ask for that. In Philippines, they almost never has to see phone records, we had lots but they never asked. I too have Metro PCS.

If you can show some emails, or Skype or Yahoo Messenger logs, you should be OK.

So just use other things instead of the phone records. These days with Skype, my fiance and I almost always just used that, so we never really had any phone records either. I think phone records are a thing of the past for many people.

So again, at this stage, dont' worry about them. Make sure and send pictures, plane tickets, boarding stamps in passport, and if you have them, receipts from your trip. And of course just 'copies' at this point, don't send in any originals.

You should be fine!

Phone cards are no good . they will usuly not be accepted 99.9% of the time. as they can not trace who was called on them . It would be a waste to send them or even try to explain them. Your best info is going to be chats through yahoo or other net work .skype screen shots. Pics of meeting withen the last 2 years so on and so on

First of all...anything at the Moroccan Consulate is considered to be evidence. Most of the post here are not high fraud countries. And secondly, phone cards are traceable where did you get this idea that they are not. I had hundreds of phone cards and each time I used the 1-800 number to call morocco it showed on my cell phone bill the number I was calling to which was his number and how long we talked. I used all this as evidence as I called him everyday and YES they did look at it.

Hi....

Others here may not understand just how difficult the Moroccan consulate is. If you want to front load your packet then by all means go right ahead. Sometimes having all the proof up front helps in such high fraud countries. I have seen others do it and some don't, it also depends if you feel your case is solid enough to wait to send all the evidence just before the interview.

Yes phone records are used if you can find a way to track them. I used phone cards over a year almost everyday until I took him a magic jack and that too can be traced and yes I used that as evidence too.

I have Verizon wireless and I printed off my history showing my 1-800 number off my calling cards as I never used any other calling card except one type. To prove I was using that number, I printed the front and back of the calling card to show its number and highlighted it. This 800 number always showed the number I was calling which was my fiancé's cell phone number for over a year.

Call T mobile and ask how far can they go back in history to print off any records of your call to morocco. There is always a chanceyes.gif

If her fiance is going to be interviewing in Casablanca, it is important that she front load her petition. Casablanca is a completely different animal from other consulates and more than likely they will not look at her evidence once he interviews. They will look at it in the initial petition. So OP, make sure you front load, as I think you are aware.

Thank you so much for your help I will have to call T-Mobile for those records and hope they still have access to them! smile.gif I just looked online and I think there is hope for obtaining my Fiances (his) phone records with his top up card in the UK. Thanks again for the positive energy... I'll keep you posted.

My Fiance he is from Morocco but has been living in the UK for more than 2 years with a student visa. What are the chances of his interview being in the UK? Either way I want to send everything that I have now and I'm planning on visiting him again in London while we wait for the response of the first packet. So I'm hoping when we get to the interview process he can take the other evidence of that 2nd meeting and ongoing relationship.

Quick question on the FORM G-325A on the Citizenship/Nationality section; I was born in Colombia but am now a U.S. Citizen should I put Colombian or American? wacko.gif

Thank you for the response. smile.gif

It's up to the Embassy in London whether they want to accept the case for someone who is not a UK citizen, but most consulates will accept the case if the beneficiary has resident status in the country and isn't just visiting.

It doesn't matter where you were born. You're a US citizen now. You should write "United States" for your citizenship/nationality.

Thank you for your response. smile.gif So I assume it would be correct to put on his MOROCCO instead of MOROCCAN which is what I had originally... wacko.gif Now I'm not sure if you can help me on question 16. Form I-129F.

Asking if my Fiances alphabet is other than Roman letters write his name in native alphabet and address. His name is written in Arabic but currently in the UK all his documentation and current address of coarse are in English. So should I just leave that blank or put N/A or fill out... headbonk.gifBecause on the G-325A he will write his name in Arabic since it's asking specifically if his native alphabet is other than Roman letters write his name (only) in native language.... kinda wacko.gif confused. Thank you again for your response.

Ok don't sit there and say things u have no clue about . my case was a high fraud country . he was not from London only going to school there . was still in London at the time of interview so this is where we had to do the interview . we also tried to submit phone cards 2 times for evidence . and they would not accept them at all wt so ever . said they can not be of any proff. As they could of been used to call anyone on. And it did not show any proof is why I posted . And wt my experience was when trying to use them. And was also told by London embassy that 99.9% of the time they will not be accepted . Now this is from my personal experience . Have also seen others on here with the same experience. So next time you want to jump all over someone before u know all the facts think twice. As he was from a high fraud country but had to interview in London did not have a choice.

Really!!!! I don't recall you being a consular looking over my evidence in Morocco and saying we cannot accept this as evidence, which they clearly DID. So yes, I do know what I am saying when it comes to calling cards and MOROCCO and others here to have had their calling card evidence accepted as well. Where do you think I got the idea from, looking at the UK consulate and seeing what others did for my case in Morocco.

So basically, you are advising every single person here that may read this, THAT PHONE CARDS are not permissible at their own consulate because UK consulate didn't accept your. THAT'S REALLY GOOD ADVICE

Secondly, who jumped all over you, your doing all the jumping from what I can see. It's seems your a bit cranky today...
