Arghhhhh - Pulling out whats left of the hair i have

I sent I129-F out on 7/31 and packet was received on 8/2. The funds have already been deducted from my account, sadly enough i did not submit the form for text notification. How long does it take to hear back if your application has been accepted? is there a way to opt in to the text notification at this time? 6-8 months, not sure how i will survive the wait. its only been 9 days so far!

lol....you'll get used to waiting....in the meantime there is a lot to learn here, doesn't really take your mind off it but being well prepared is good.

When I started this journey my Fiancé told me it is going to take a year, I told her our Government is more efficient than that. Ha she was right, 8 months to get approved 2-3 months for the rest. I will listen to her from now on, she seems to know more about my Government than I do. LOL

When you do get your NOA1 (and this could take a 1-4 weeks from the date you filed), you will have a receipt number that begins with either EAC(Vermont Service Center) or WAC(California Service Center). Once you have created your account with this receipt number from the link abner137 has provided, you will see the status of your case. You can toggle the settings in your account and request email and text notifications for anything further. More than likely, this means you won't receive any notification for roughly 5-7 months. You have a long journey ahead so better strap yourself in and take this wonderful lesson in patience. NOA2 is just the beginning. Good luck!
