It's not really because of the K-1 it's more to do with you having a fiance(e) already in the US and the fact you are applying from Ghana.

You can always try though.

Yes but the probability for you to get the Visa is low and when they refuse your report in the US embassy will not be good ..so better wait for the K-1 process which is quite time consuming but hey is all good

Been refused before. Thn later filed for the K-1. Would that be a problem once my K-1 is approved ??

Tourist visa denial has no impact on K-1 if it's purely based on home country ties.

What problems are you imagining?

I dont know about a K-1 visa, but I have a friend who is a permanent resident and filed an I-130 for his wife and he is aware that it could take at least two more years since he will not become a citizen before then.He had his wife apply for a visitors visa and when she went to the interview the consular officer told her that while an I-130 is pending they will not process a non -immigrant visa and that she should wait until the outcome odf the I-130.So to answer you yes, nothing is stopping you from applying but be prepared to hear a similar response.

Hi all,

Can one apply for visitors visa from Ghana while he or she wait for the K-1 approval??

Pls advise.

yes you can, but chances are very slim. you might want to save your money for the K1 visa process. If your petition is @ CSC, there is nothing to worry about, they averaging about 3 months right now, its a different story if you find your self @ VSC...the wait time is double right now :(

Just called them they are still on Jan 16th , he said from what he sees in his system everything is in order . They just waiting for the final decision , if there was anything questionable we would have got a letter to clarify or bring proof or something so to just be a bit patient and try back in 2 weeks at the latest
