First prays and thought to all VJour in Manila with the flooding

My Fiancée and me had a quick path to the interview due to an expedite. NOA 1 Jun 18, NOA Jun 28. We got the Manila case number Jul 10 and had her interview Jul 18th. At the interview Rosan was told paper work was good! But we got a white 221 G and told to wait for further instruction.

I see the average time between interview and getting the visa is a month. I assuming most at 30 days got a 221 of some sorts. On the timelines visa received is it the day of issue or the day in hand? Seeing if we could expected an answer this week, if 30 days. At what delay 2 month, 3 month should we start to worry about the delay? I am thinking we got the interview before Manila could process the paper work.

Sorry just nervous.

Thanks

Is the above the question? Once you gal gets an "approved" visa notice/status, the "average" arrival time of the visa is less than 2 weeks. I offer this opinion based on my education, knowledge and experience. The OP offering of "got a 221 of some sorts," leaves a lot to be

good.gif my thoughts exactly. What was the 221-g for? They have to have requested further information.

OP what does the 221-G say? What did they want from you?

On average, it takes about 15 days for a person to receive their passport back from the Embassy after the visa approval (some sooner, some later); but if you haven't complied with whatever the Embassy is expecting from you, it could take for as long as they want it to take.

We have called and all the said is we are processing the paperwork and I have to do nothing . I have said what do you need and said nothing it just under review. I have called the embassy main number (214) 571-1600, is there anthor one to call. I just have spoken to call center. How do I get past that?

...we got a white 221 G and told to wait for further instruction.

^^^ That sometimes happens.

...I see the average time between interview and getting the visa is a month.

^^^ The average time is a week or two.

...At what delay 2 month, 3 month should we start to worry about the delay?

^^^ Try not to worry. If the Embassy kept her passport, it's a good sign. I would email them once a week to check up on the case. Or, you can try to get through to the IV Unit by phone.

...I am thinking we got the interview before Manila could process the paper work.

^^^ Highly doubtful.

good.gif my thoughts exactly. What was the 221-g for? They have to have requested further information.

^^^ Incorrect. The Embassy sometimes issues 221g's which don't request further information and/or documents.

You can email the Embassy's Immigrant Visa Unit at: IVManilaReplies@state.gov

You can call the Embassy's Immigrant Visa Unit at: 632-301-2000 extension 5184 or 5185

What would trigger the Embassy sometimes issuing 221g's which don't request further information and/or documents?

The Embassy might want to order a copy of the visa applicant's birth certificate, CENOMAR, or NBI.
