My daughters and I have our medical booked in Melbourne at the end of the month. Just wondered how invasive the physical exam is? My eldest daughter is 13 and if the physical involves an invasive or very personal examination I need to prepare her. I'd appreciate feedback from anyone whos had their medical in Melbourne.

I had mine done in Melbourne in August last year. From what I can remember, there was a chest x-ray, blood draw, vaccinations if any are missing (bring all her vaccination records), and some questions about medical history. They took weight, blood pressure, pulse, and did a quick eye test. I don't think there is anything for her to worry about. If you have any specific questions send me a PM - I have a copy of my medical and can check. The whole thing took about 2 hours from start to finish. There is a lot of paperwork to complete before you start so it is a good idea to arrive 15 minutes early. She will need her passport and passport photos.

I had mine in July and it was ok nothing special(as above). He also feels womens breast but that procedure is done in the presence of a nurse so no trouble there. Since your daughter is very young I doubt he will even do that.

my daughter is 16 and had her medical done in Melbourne last December. The nurse came in and they did a really non-invasive look over. Don't worry, my daughter is really sensitive about being pocked and prodded and she found it ok.

Don't forget to ask for a copy of the DS-3025 (at least). if you can get a copy of the entire medical that would be great.

I never took the results of my last pap smear. He asked me when my last one was but never asked to see the results....not saying that he won't ask though

No results from a pap would make you inadmissable so no need.
