Hi everyone

I checked the embassy of the Philippines website today particularly the outreach program schedule. I am glad they have a schedule in GEorgia on Nov. 5th. but i do not have any idea when they will post the address and the time on their website. So i can be able to make an appointment and won't miss it.. If anybody here knows please let me know. I need to renew my passport here and not to go all the way to WAshington.

Anyway, I just can't get this part >>>>>>Send the e-mail request/application for appointment to the Embassy e-mail address:

It would be nice if i can see a sample of the request/appointment to the embassy here.:help::help::help:

Thank you all..

If you haven't done so already, you should file a Report of Marriage with the Philippines Consulate which has jurisdiction over the location where you got married.

You will not be able to renew your passport without reporting your marriage first. You can do it by mail, or you can do it at the outreach at the same time you renew your passport I believe. Check the Consulate's website for more information and for the details of the process.

Appointments are usually NOT required for ROM and passport renewal. In our case, the outreach folks were in town for two days, and we just showed up and did all the paperwork. And there is a consulate right there in Atlanta, no need to travel to Washington.

If your consular outreach is anything like our consular outreach in Seattle, you might want to consider going to your Consulate instead.

There were no appointments allowed at our outreach, and the line of people stretched around the block. I wasn't there, but a friend of mine was. It took him all day to get his business started, and then he had to come back the next day to complete things...and wait in line again.

You have to see how your consulate works the outreach program. We're still waiting to get contacted by the consulate on our appointment for the outreach in Minnesota, we go through the Chicago office. I've heard you can wait in line if you don't have an appointment, but the line is extremely long here. As the consulate explained it to me, here they start working on the next one, once they've finished the last one. The last Chicago held was the 28th of July and the one here is the 11th of August. But they wanted our application turned in a month ahead of time. The location was just posted about a week ago, so everything is pretty much set up at the last minute. Maybe your office has a little more planning than Chicago does. But its always been easy to call the consulate and get updates on what to do and what the current plan is.

I would call or email them: http://www.philippinesatlanta.org/

Looks like there is a consulate right in Atlanta. See if they can take care of your ROM and passport there, no need to travel.

I'm thinking I read somewhere that the San Francisco Consulate wants you to complete the Report of Marriage about a month before you go to their outreach. Just in case, you might want to check it out for your Consulate.

OP...Have you thought about visiting Atlanta for a couple of days to have some fun and to take care of business too?

Inkorek, Tahoma, at least in OUR case... when the SF outreach came to our town, we walked in and did it all. The only thing we didn't have (because it wasn't specified on the website) is a 5th copy of paperwork for ROM to send with the new passport application. No appointment, nothing done ahead of time. Of course, this is only specific to the SF outreach. Not sure if there are differences in other regions.

Anytime, my friend. That's what this forum is all about. Of course, someone may have had different experiences with the outreach, and sharing their experience will benefit us all.

I don't know if you have this resolved but here goes:

I completed and printed the passport application form and scanned it along with my old passport. I then emailed them to the email address provided.

Subject: (insert city and state here ) Consular Outreach Application Form

- Attach your scanned application form and data page (bearing the name and photo) of your old passport

I just wrote this message:

Attached are the advance copy of my application form and copy of the old passport.

Sincerely or whatever you want to put in here :P ,

Yourname

You have to send it in as soon as possible. But, as the other posters have pointed out..there is a consulate in Atlanta - why not go there instead?

Hi, I am on the same shoes and is planning to go to Washington early next year, but it would be a lot better if I do not need to go all the way to Washington to take care of the renewal of my passport and report of marriage. I checked the Washington Dc Phils. Embassy Website but can't find the announcement. I would love to just go to Atlanta outreach since I am from NC just more or less 4 hours of driving from here to there. Thanks.
