According to their website:

*Our office is closing: August 1st is the last day for new appointments.

Please contact the US Consulate at vancouverniv@state.gov for further information

Anyone have a heads up on the 'new' procedure or where medical will be completed after August 1st?

blink.gif I hope another panel physician will open in western Canada otherwise there's only 2 others to choose from (Toronto, Montreal), both in eastern Canada...

OMFG... please tell us there will be another place in western Canada or the airfare for us will be stupid expensive.

As soon as any one hears about this please post. I have an email in to them but they have probably been swamped with questions.

Agreed, something needs to open up on the West side - Toronto's medical exam takes 48 hours for results = 2 nights of hotel and cab fare.. If you don't want to wait, its $125 to courier the results to anywhere in Canada and US, $50 for courier in Ontario - absolutely insane!

I also sent an email today, they usually email within 2 business days - Keep us posted if anyone hears anything else!

Got an update from emailing that contact information!

There is another panel physician located in Surrey, BC. This information will be sent to you if you have a pending case in Vancouver.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!! Also even better news for me since that's closer to where I am (although further from Vancouver if you are flying in-but still in Greater Van!). I'm so relieved :D

Looking at the website the price has apparently gone from $350 at Woking to $275. That's very good news. The other thing which looks different is the location of the xray and blood test clinics. It says they are about a 4 minute drive away. Which is fine if you're local to the area, but I can imagine that makes it a lot more complicated if you are flying in!! Time to scour that website and see what else has changed... I'm going to assume they still require the same vaccinations etc.

Pretty sure the requirements are all still the same. When I had mine done a couple of weeks ago it worked out fairly well. Free parking and the lab isn't difficult to get to, especially because you can book an appointment almost any day.

You also only need ONE photo! And no mentions of the extra $50 for a 2nd copy.

I'd like to not have to pay but I hope that means a second copy is still available. Having the extra copy would give me a lot of comfort in case they happen to lose the medical in the future.
