Why wouldn't it be? Prostitution is illegal but Pornography isn't (in the US at least).

Since "Adult Web Cam" would technically be Pornography not Prostitution then I don't see a problem.

I assume the company is paying you legit, right?

Hi All , I wanted to know while having ROC done is it legal to do adult webcam work for a Company , not that I want to , but am struggling financially , I do not want anything to go wrong here so that is why I need advice or info pleaseeeee . Thank you !!!!

Be very careful! That industry is run by unsavory people, and you may quickly find yourself in a dangerous situation. While you may be able to stay above the law, you will be rubbing elbows with people that will not always be willing to do so. There is a blurred line between prostitution, which is illegal, in most of the country, and pornography, which may or may not be, depending on the jurisdiction within the US. Many areas severely restrict the distribution of adult materials, and they do prosecute anybody involved with a product found within their boundaries, even though it did not originate there.

That's the whole trick. If it's a legitimate company, with a business license, giving you a regular pay check, with a pay stub, properly deducting income taxes and social security, having you fill out an I-9, and issuing you a W-2 for income taxes, and maintaining proof-of-age records for all their models in accordance with all state and federal regulations, then yes, working for them should be fine, legally speaking. If a webcam modeling company doesn't do these things, or wants to pay you cash under the table, you wouldn't want to work for them anyways.

Your ROC doesn't really enter into it. Working for a legitimate company is always legal, as long as you have an EAD, a valid greencard, or an ROC extension letter.

DON'T PANIC
