There are some great people here that I truly adore and love. Now, I can’t cast any stones because I have engaged my own not so unflattering exchanges. However, some of you have just taken things severely out of context and to a downright hurtful and attacking level. Of course, you are entitled to express yourselves anyway that you see fit, but it just appears that some of you have gone way overboard with this I’m just expressing my opinion business when replying to someone’s post (especially in the Off Topic section). It’s no wonder so many arguments ensue because most of you claim to not want to fight but engage your comment(s) so aggressive or rude that many people feel insulted. Most of the times, we’re worse on members than we are on trolls.

One of those 'things were better before' posts. Yeah, we get it. It's off-topic. You don't have to read a single post.

First of all, things get ugly because we are all at our wits end and most of us are thousands of miles away from the one person that can calm down.

Secondly, making posts about drama causes more drama.

So true Cass! Still, some thrive on drama too so that keeps things the way they are. Oh well...things will always be this way on VJ and for it to change to that "land of utopia" Caroline mentioned will never ever happen.

I don't think VJ has always had this much drama. I guess once a site or place gets more popular it brings in more types of personalities. Plus I think a lot of people just over react or misunderstand the orinators message. The originator may be kidding or his post is full of sarcasm and the readers just don't see it that way and take the opposit approach to the message. I think a lot of people also forget that VJ is a multi cultural society and many are just learning the English language, as well each society has different standards. Just my 2 cents, just waiting for the coffee to kick in so I can function!!

I am finding that this type of behavior seems to be a bit of the norm on many of the web sites I participate in. In the beginning I did take it a bit personal and actually stopped coming to VJ for a while but then realized that this was also going on at a couple of Philippines Groups that I belong to. I learn so much from the posts on VJ so hvae decided to not let the people with their cup half empty affect the wonderful time I am having.
