Yes, we will have my fiance's mom as our co-sponsor and we will be living with her on the same roof. Her income is above the 125% of the poverty guidline so hopefully things will go well on our case of using a co-sponsor. My fiance will be graduating next year, he's taking up Digital Art Media.

Yes, it's good that you have a joint sponsor who is a close relative.

Also, I believe it will help your case if you bring to the attention of the consular officer the fact that you and your fiancé will have very low living expenses because you will be living with his mother.

Another thing that will help your case is that you and your fiancé are young, and that he's a college student who is about to graduate and soon will be better able to support you.

It would also help your case if you have a university degree or some other training which would make you more employable in the U.S.

Also, I believe it helps your case if your fiancé is Pinoy.

My fiance is a Filipino by blood but he was born and raised in California. He travels here in the Philippines almost every other year since he was young with his grandmother and he can understand and speak (although not fluently) tagalog. On September 2010 we met at the same church we're attending and we're both in the choir.

Thank you so much guys...

So on the interview day, I will be needing the I-134 from my fiance and I-864 from his mom, is that right?

And would it be ok if we present a letter from his mom about supporting us?

Normally, you would submit your joint sponsor's I-134 and it's supporting documents. However, I highly recommend that you submit an I-134 and an I-864 from your joint sponsor, as well as the supporting documents.

I would also submit a notarized letter from your fiancé's mother which shows that she supports your marriage and that she will support you financially and not let you become a public charge in the U.S.

^^^ Very good...this can help your case! You and your fiancé need to point this out to the consular officer.

I think you have a good case coming together here.

Thank you again Tahoma! you guys are so helpful and I want to be another living proof of approved cases of using a co-sponsor and help others with their questions/cases.

So would it be:

- I-134 from my fiance

- his 3 latest pay stubs or 10?

- his ITR for the last 3 years or 1?

- notarized letter stating his promise of support

And same thing from his mom:

- I-134 and I-864 from fiance's mom

- her 3 latest pay stubs or 10?

- her ITR for the last 3 years or 1?

- notarized letter stating her promise of support

what else would I be needing?

Here are my ideas to help you build the best case possible...

From your fiancé:

- I-134

- Six months of current pay stubs

- ITR's from the last 3 years.

- Tax transcripts from the past three years

- W-2's / 1099's from the past three years

- Employer's letter

- Notarized letter stating his promise of support

- Updated letter of intent to marry

And from his mom:

- Proof of citizenship or lawful permanent residence (U.S. passport?)

- I-134 and I-864

- Six months of current pay stubs

- ITR's from the last 3 years

- Tax transcripts from the past three years

- W-2's / 1099's from the past three years

- Employer's letter

- Notarized letter stating her promise of support

Also needed:

- This stuff.
