We are at the last stages of the CR-1 process, waiting to send in my wifes final paperwork and get an interview appointment. However, she has an offer to come to Miami for a week to work (shes a singer) and the company who wants her is apparently checking about a temporary work visa for her. Is there any chance that they apply for something on her behalf and derail our CR-1 Spouse Visa? Or is the worst case scenario just that they deny the work visa because you cannot have 2 open petitions?

If anyone has had experience with this Id appreciate feedback, Im very worried about having problems after working on the CR-1 for over a year. Thank you!

The work visa will be more difficult to get, but it won't derail the spousal visa, even if denied. JUst make sure timing wise that she will be back for the spousal visa interview.
