Interesting generalization.

So you are saying that as you get older (and richer) you become more republican because you don't want to have to pay taxes?

No you become more 'conservative' because you understand how the flow of money works and that feeding the beast doesn't help you put food on the table, or provide for your family in other ways.

Read into this as you wish then. I'm being general for the purpose of remaining fair.

Young single indviduals do not necessarily think with their brain, but rather use raw emotion to determine their political leanings. They do not care about the economy as they ultimately have no knowledge of such a thing. All they see is some guy who is homeless or a friend who can't find a job and feel there needs to be more government intervention in this. They easily eat into the idea that someone is trying to tell them what they can and cannot do (even when it's not the case) and want more government to take care of those problems they see as such.

As one gets older, wiser, and starts raising a family, or someone just starts taking a bigger part in the workforce/earning their own way, they usually begin to understand the economy and how what government does directly impacts their lives. Social issues often will take a backseat because they realize that social issues matter not if there's no country for them to be a part of.

I could be more specific in certain areas, but there again. I'm not going to cross any lines.

As they say: To be young and conservative is to have no heart. To be older and liberal is to have no brain.

To be old and conservative reveals a bitter withdrawal into "Me and Mine"

Its the epitome of selfishness

I love intelligent government. It gave us public health with sewers and no cholera and education for the poor and so much more !

Look at Somalia and Afghanistan - it's only our government that gives us our civilization and we were not civilized before there was government

Government is superb

and Government gave you your oh so precious military - every one of whom are government employees

Government is only as good as those who are running it.

North Korea has a government. Some of their people are quite happy with it as well. Some of them live in fear. It's all in the eye of the beholder. Those of us in the Western world may not understand, but there again it's not for us to understand. Hell a lot of their people over there are starving right now and they have a government.

I am sick to teeth with this anti government stuff

If the French were to say they hated the American government, all the repos would be demanding we vaporize em

Obama is one of the brightest guys I have EVER come across in my life and every American should be so grateful to fortune that they haven't got a window-licker like Bush

That is irrespective of party politics and I would say it if they were in opposite parties from the ones they are in except that O has a strong morality streak as well as being intelligent so he wouldn't be a repo

Republicans idea of morality doesn't stretch any further than not showing nippos on telly or having their tax dollars given to someone who is dying or black or both

Perhaps single people are the ones who don't feel so secure in life that they can lash out at their fellow citizens, and therefore they are liberal

You must have had a pretty ####### life.

Germany circa 1930's loves the fact that you're sick of the anti-government stuff.
