Sorry if I am posting in the incorrect place, but here goes...

I received the NOA2 for the I-130 stating that it was approved on May 25 and that it was being forwarded to the NVC. I realize that it takes at least 15 days and we have had a holiday, but I was wondering how long it could take before we are assigned a case number?

My husband and I have both called the NVC several times. They have not received our information. I am a little worried. The NVC rep told me to scan the NOA2 approval and email it with our stats to NVCresearch@state.gov. Could our packet gotten lost? I am so worried.

Thank you in advance!

Like you, I also received my NOA2 on 5/25, and I just found out that my petition has arrived at the NVC yesterday. The lady at NVC told me that it will probably take another week before a NVC case number is generated. I have also heard from another NVC rep that it is currently taking ~ 20 business days between NOA2 and NVC case number.

I think your case will probably arrive in NVC any day now (if it hasn't already gotten there by now!!).

Called again today, they still haven't received it. Also, I did not receive a response email from NVCResearch other than the automatic response you get immediately after they receive the email. I suppose we will just bide our time and keep calling.

“ Oh, the comfort - the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person - having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.

NVC takes approximately 1 to 2 weeks to respond any email inquiry.

Rightnow it takes approximately 3 to 4 weeks to get your file forwarded from CSC to NVC and another 1 to 2 weeks to get a case number.

We are in the same boat, still waiting for NVC processing. We called NVC many times, and got the different answers, one said they got our case, but not assigned the case number yet; another said they have not got our case. Frustrated to wait here. :(

Congrats!! I just got my case number & IIN too. The (very nice) NVC lady told me that someone else at NVC has just assigned my case number and was entering in all my case info literally as she and I spoke over the phone. As a result, she couldn't append my email address because only one person could actively edit a case at one time.

HKTW, were you able to give them your email (in addition to your NVC case number and IIN)? I am thinking about calling them tomorrow to ask them to append my email address and probably send the DS-3032 form tomorrow evening.

Yes, we got all numbers(3 groups). And we also gave them our email address(both of us using the same one). Then 1 day later,we got an email including all numbers again.

Before that, my husband gave me wrong one :bonk: so yours would be TPN201261xxxx?:P

You have to make sure what you got is 100% right, not like me to confuse NVC :(

And then 2 or 3 days later, you will get emails to notify you...AOS bill invoiced.

We just paid the bill today.

How to ensure it? Just sign in the online payment portal, if you can get in then you are right.

Looks like K1 visa stuck in USCIS. We called NVC and still not received our case, and called USCIS and told the case has sent out and will go to embassy directly instead of NVC. Then we called DOS and told us any cases need to go to NVC firstly. Now we can't find where our case is.
