Does anyone have any experience using a co-sponsor?

We are more than likely going to need to use another family member, and as I understand the co-sponsor needs to be a U.S. citizen.

Is there any specific guidelines for this? Or do we just have a member of his family submit a supplemental affidavit as well as his?

Thanks!

You may consider listing the country from which you will interview as this has impact to your question. Also consider re-posting question in the regional forum of your country. But in general a co-sponsor is a US citizen or LPR, and you would each fill out the 134 form.

A co-sponsor can be any US citizen or permanent resident. They must qualify on their own for their household size plus the intending immigrant. They fill out their own separate I-134 and provide the same documents as the petitioner sponsor plus proof of being a USC or LPR.
