hello everyone.. I'm new on the whole process of the k1 visa with my fiancé in honduras.. currently i live in honduras and work as a missionary.. i work for a local church and teach technology at a local school in tela, honduras. I met my future wife here. she is actually the pastors daughter hehe... on june 1, 2012 i mailed the forms i-129, and already received NOA1... i don't know how long is gonna take to receive NOA2, but i hope is fast. The main question i have is, I have been here in honduras was a year now.. I barely make money to pay for stuff here.. will that have any effect on the visa interview?.. my W2 shows i don't really make money .. I will also mention,, that currently i own a home back in fort lauderdale, Florida, price is 145,000. still paying the mortgage. My parents are renting the house from me. I also own about 30k worth of musical equipment.. would any of that help? I just want things to go very smooth, i want to leave Honduras with my future wife already.. thanks God bless

If your tax form shows low income in past years, then they will focus on your current employment statement. Hope you could get it.

God bless you.

There is no "fast" ... you'll likely hear something in the next 5-6 months. Maybe shorter, maybe longer, but generally in that timeframe.

If you do not meet the income requirements (for two people, it's just short of 19k a year) then you will need a co-sponsor. I'm not familiar with Honduras, so I don't know if they accept co-sponsors. You'll need to find that out.

You need current US income. What you make in Honduras won't count for the affidavit of support, so you will definitely need a co-sponsor. You will be moving to the US to marry, and you need to prove you have enough income and/or assets in the US so that your future wife will not become a public charge when you move here, marry and live in the US. Assets are counted at 3 times the shortcoming in income, so if you have no income and a household of 2, you need at least $56,736 in liquid assets.
