Hi guys.. I got an email this early morning containing an infos for interview sched and stuff to bring. a little confusion when I noticed that they used my maiden name on that email and not my married name. Would that be ok? Since my husband filed the I-130 he used my married name. Maybe, they get the info from my passport? I have my unexpired passport and it is valid until 2014.

Whatever name is in the passport submitted to ST Lukes will be your name as far as USCIS is concerned.

Your VISA will be issued in that name as well as your, Soc Sec card and Green Card.

Our paperwork name changed several times

I130 = Married name

NVC = Maiden Name (As we submitted passport copy w/maiden name)

Visa = Married Name (As we submitted new passport to St Lukes w/married name)

Regards,

dc

Unless you change your passport you will get your visa, and thus your GC, in your maiden name. To change the GC you either wait for ROC or file and I-90 and pay $450.

Not necessarily the SS card or green card will be issued in her maiden name. SSI issued my wife's card in her married name and we will be submitting all the paperwork for AOS in her married name as it asks for "legal name" .
