Help concerning the Birth Certificate

Hi wonderful VJ people

Here's the deal: I was born outside of Canada and moved here when I was 5. I have Canadian citizenship.

I'm applying as a Canadian Citizen.

I'm confused as to which Birth Certificate use though.

I have a Spanish Birth Certificate and they have something here called 'Birth certificate delivered in Quebec'.

Which should be used? Either way I'd have to translate.

It's all very confusing to me. Don't know if it matters which I pick or if my safest bet is to take the one delivered in North America.

So my extra question is: Any other dual citizenship holders out there that have applied for an Immigrant Visa in the US? Did it make you run into any problems?

Hi there, (CANADIAN beneficiary from VANCOUVER).

I'm not a dual citizen, but hopefully I can be of some help with the Birth Certificate question.

I would think since they'll be asking for your Birth Certificate, it means the Spanish one. Where you where born.

You where not born in Canada, so you only have 1 Birth Certificate to present them.

I'm sure you're going to have to bring along your Canadian Citizen information too, so no problem there.
