Hello All,

I have visited this site many times and just wanted to say how helpfull everyone is. I received alot of information on where to begin this process of getting my fiance home. Here is my time line to date:

02-13-2012: Mailed in K-1 visa aplication package to Texas Lockbox

02-22-2012: USCIS received package and forwarded to Vermont, received I-797

THAT'S IT!!

I'm so nervous. I have looked up current processing times and they are stating 5 months. If that's the case, they better get to moving, which I highly doubt. I was wondering if anyone else is going through the same dilemma or did go through a similar one. Maybe things do move quite fast in the end??

Please fill in your timeline. It makes it easier for people to answer your question. If you fill in your timeline you will get an approximation of the approval of your petition, based on other VJ users experiences.

If you received your NOA1 on Feb 22nd, you've been waiting 3 months and 16 days. 5 months would be July 22nd, but you should allow 5-6 months for approval of your petition. Expect an answer in August, remembering that it takes a couple of weeks for the letter to get to you. If you haven't heard anything by then, you should contact USCIS. Until then, unfortunately, you will just have to wait.

You've only been waiting three and a half months. Right now, there are people who have been waiting longer than six. Unfortunately, all you can do is wait your turn.

The wait time currently seems to be almost exactly 5 months (we received our NOA2 at 147 days) so as hard as it is try to be patient and wait. If once you get to the 154 day mark then it would be time to start calling to follow up on where you are at in the process.
