hi my mother want to petition for my brother. He is 20 years old, can u tell me how long it will take for him to get to the us.

Since your brother already 20 years old, by the time he will get approved he will be over 21 and will not be elligible for CSPA.

So he will be in F2B category, which really depends on the country, but takes long time and if I am not mistaking about 10 years to wait till Visa become available. Also if he will get married within this 10 years he will not be elligible anymore for the visa.

Richie, no one can tell you how long it will take, except that it will surely take years. The visa category for your brother is F2 and it falls along with others who in the same category enjoy a higher priority. Think of it as a line in which people may get in front of him when they show up. There are certain limits to the number of F2 visas issued per year and as a consequence the line moves rather slowly.

Good luck!
