Since you are on CR1/IR1 visa, it all depends how long you've been married before your interview, if under 2 years you will have to fill out for ROC, and yes they will look at your finances, as you will need to file I-864.

No, if the person is asking about Removal of Conditions (ROC) then there is no I-864. OP, what are you asking about?

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: China

Yes, my bad. CR1, less than 2 years married. So, I guess it's Removal of Conditions (ROC). So, no finances to worry about at that time?

hmmm

actually, the ROC case is mostly about financial co-mingling.

Be wary of those giving advice 'otherwise' .

ROC interviews, not showing this financial co-mingling, have been sent back home, awaiting letters that ask for a long list of stuff. Eventually, they send in the stuff (again, it's evidence of financial co-mingling) and then USUALLY the ROC case is approved.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
