I was thinking about doing a walk-in hoping it would speed up the process. I decided to wait because I'll be waiting regardless"

I never had to wait like this before so it's definitely an experience.... :):innocent::)

hehe. I will be out if town on the appointment date so I did mine early.

hehe. I will be out if town on the appointment date so I did mine early.

Thats something I'm wondering about, because I very well may be out of town on that day also.

Can I do an early walk-in in a local office besides the one my appointment is for? Eg. my appointment will likely be in San Diego, but I might be in San Francisco at some point. Can I do an early walk-in in SF?

Hello eveyone, its been two weeks since i sent my application didnt sent g1145 e notify so i didnt get any text or email if they got my application. Anyways its been 14 days still no noa showing up in the mailbox, no news at all while i see other member timeline sent there application days after i sent mine and they got there noa after a week ... should i start calling uscis or should i keep waiting? Im starting to worry.... :(

Never hurts to give them a call to ask. Did you have a tracking for your mail? Did they receive it?

You can always give it a shot... Just give them a good reason, like you're traveling around and not sure if you can get back on time in SF for it or something.. When I did my walk-in they asked my why I came so early. I said I will be out to NH on that day, they asked me when I'm leaving, and I said I will be there for 2 weeks, leaving next week. They told me not to do that next time but had let me in. Now, I don't really know about changing the venue too.. Trying won't hurt, that's for sure. Just be prepared for the worst so you won't feel too bad. Good luck! =)

I hope you hear something soon Abby D. We too are waiting for an NOA1. I just sent ours in the 26th though so I'm sure it will be a few days. We're here to give you support. Hope for the best and it will all right. Just give them a call if it makes you feel better. In the mean time, try not to stress too much.

May 16th 2012: I 485, I 765, I 131 send by USPS priority mail at the Chicago lockbox

May 18th 2012: AOS received and signed by D.Colonna at 2:18pm at Chicago

June 4th 2012: got my all package return, restarting from level zero again :((((

June 6th 2012 Wednesday (day 0): Info pass and resend the whole package by USPS express mail at the chicago lockbox

June 25 2011: NOA1

November 23 2011: Proposed in Guayaquil, in a magical place (I totally accepted!)

November 23 2011: RFE (for the passport style pics)

January 22 2012: they resent the RFE we had a problem with the mail

January 25 2012: We send the RFE

March 01 2012: Approved

April 11 2012: Interview (APPROVED) I was crying and laughing at the same time

April 24 2012: POE Miami

May 11, 2012: Finally married to my handsome baby

Nice!!! It gives me a little hope to receive mine soon, since you and me sent our packet at the same time, minus a day! But you don't have a whole lot of notice, just a little over a week.

Adjustment of status from F-1

May 14th, 2012: wedding in Vancouver, WA :)

June 6th, 2012: mailed AOS/EAD/AP

June 8th, 2012: packet delivered

June 11th, 2012: acceptance

June 13th, 2012: received text messages and emails confirming application reception

June 14th, 2012: checks cashed

June 15th, 2012: received hard copies of NOAs (dated June 12th)

July 2nd, 2012: received biometrics appointment letter, scheduled on July 17th

Just got my biometrics appointment letter. Scheduled for July...17? A Sunday? I didn't think govt offices would be open on a Sunday...
