Evylin,

Thank you.

And I just checked on the USCIS site, and it seems the price is still

$340. If I send them a check with my packet, I should send just $240?

I wish this were easier.

No. You should send $340, like it says on the USCIS site where you checked. Always go by the instructions from the USCIS website. The instructions list the fees, who to write the check to, where to mail your petition and what must be included with the form. The USCIS forms and instructions are kept up to date. What they say is what you follow.

The $240 that is confusing you is the current visa processing fee. That will be paid to the Department of State before the foreign fiance(e) attends their visa interview at the consulate in their country. This will all be months down the line from now after your petition is already approved, granting the foreign fiance(e) permission to apply for the actual K-1 visa.

Thanks, Jay. I appreciate that.

We're still a couple of weeks away from submitting the packet,

but I just want to make sure everything is what they want.

It's not POSSIBLE that you read the guides. Or you tried and simply cannot read. If you had, you would have known from your initial post that you BOTH need to write letters of intent. And the form is the G325-A not not G825. It's pretty much on page one of the K1 Visa guide here on this site.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

I mean honestly, right there under the checklist it says "Original statements (from both the US Citizen and foreign fiance) certifying an intent to marry within 90 days of entering the US on a valid K-1"

So no offense to you, but when you then ask another question and add 'What Else' at the end of it, like you're just expecting someone to fill in everything else you need to do, it becomes clear that you haven't spent any real amount of time researching this stuff.

OK. Maybe I mean a 'little' offense to you.

People come on here all the time, and they clearly haven't really spent much time researching.

And honestly, you wrote,

And I just checked on the USCIS site, and it seems the price is still

$340. If I send them a check with my packet, I should send just $240?

I wish this were easier.

Um. Wow. Really? You just read that the price is $340, but you're asking if you should $240?

And you don't need hours and hours. But maybe ONE hour to read the K1 guide here. I mean honestly, if you're not willing to invest some time into learning this stuff, then how serious can you be?

People like you show up all the time here. You basically can't be bothered for 1 hour of your own time, so you ask question after question, not being bothered at all to waste OTHER people's time.

Go ahead, write something bad to me. I can take it.

Now here's a question that I don't think anyone has asked: I just

received a certified copy of my final divorce decree. It'a about

15 pages long. Do I just send in the first two pages with the

raised stamp on them or do I send in the parenting section concerning

our daughter. The parenting plan is not relevant, but I just want

to be sure.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Now, with God's grace, the visa will get approved, of that

I'm sure.

After it's approved, does she need me to help bring her child

here, or can she do that herself? Do I need to sign any

paperwork for that?

Thanks.

You really need to do more research before you file. If she wants the child brought with her, then you must list them on your I-129F and get a K2 visa for the child. Please read the guides.

Exactly what I would recommend. But please take you time in filling in the peition as well. I know you are desperate to be with your loved one (as we all are!), but rushing it would mean more delays with RTFs! Just stay calm, relax and do it over a period of time.

I took 3 weeks if not more doing mine because I wanted to triple check everything and make sure I left instructions for my fiancee on what she needs to do.

Goodluck, and God speed!

:ot: Peter_Pan congratulations on your interview success!!!(L)

The beneficiary's birth certificate is not required until the interview.

Never send originals. Always copies. Bring originals to interview.

Evylin, thank you. And Dolly and Dan said in their second post

that her birth certificate is not necessary until her interview.

Thanks to everyone.

But I have one more question, and I posted it last week: After

we're married, does she need me to sign any paperwork for her

and I to bring her child here after he finishes elementary school.

Or can she do that by herself.

I love this woman with all my heart, soul.

Thanks.
