I-130

Hi! Im a US citizen, born on Guam and I am trying to repetition my mom and dad. My mom was petitioned by my grandparents in 1980s and gave birth to me here. Somewhere in 1991or 1992 someone told on her that she wasnt really single when she came here. That she was married so she basically lied about it. She was called in court and questioned about it and she told the truth. She told them that she wanted to see how Guam was like then after that she decided to not appeal and argue about it and just volunteered to go back to the Philippines instead. I'm wondering if there would be any problems when I file for her petition.

I agree with the above comments.

USCIS does not look favorably on anyone who lies to them. :(

Good luck with the application, though!

In all these, you could always try and hope for the best. That is if you're willing to pay the filing fee of $420 and risk it going to waste. Just like everything in life, it's a gamble and you wouldn't know the real answer unless you try it. Let the USCIS be the final authority to be the judge and not the forum, although there are tons of important information available here.

I have also submitted my problem and worries to this forum and have received many opinions and information. But in the end, I would be the one to decide which course to take. Good luck and may you have success in your petition.
