5. Copy of petitioner’s U.S. Passport.

11. A copy of Petitioner's Birth Certificate.

You only need one or the other of these items. If you send a copy of your passport, you don't need to send a copy of your birth certificate. Likewise, if you send a copy of your birth certificate, you don't don't need to send a copy of your passport.

The purpose of sending the copy of the passport or the copy of the birth certificate is to establish US Citizenship which makes sending both unnecessary.

For I-130 they will submit with the AOS(Affidavit of Support) there 3 years of tax records, employment letter.

If they have joint accounts that can be submitted now with initial petition to show the co-mingling of finances. But really what he has shown is fine.

No they didn't, those items are not submitted when the petition is filed. That comes later when documents are submitted to the NVC.

For I-130 they will submit with the AOS(Affidavit of Support) there 3 years of tax records, employment letter.

You left out a key piece of information regarding submission of the Affidavit of Support and that information is that it is submitted to the NVC when that time comes.
