Hi All -

We received this message from USCIS and I was hoping someone could tell me what it means.

The USPS reported that your new card was delivered on May 11, 2012, directly to the address we had on file. If you did not receive your card, or have any questions, please call our customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

Also, I have not yet received the card referenced above.

We filed an I-485 about a year ago.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Please fill in your timeline, this will make answering your question easier.

The message is telling you they delivered your GC on May 11, 2012. Have you moved house since you filed AOS?

Thanks for your quick reply. In the process of filling in timeline, however is this the first change in status we have received since filing the AOS. Yes, just recently moved (May 1st), but i filed a change of address form vis USCIS website and called USCIS. I also received a notification of the change of address at the my new address. Is it still possible that they sent it to my old address?

Yes, sadly so. Once your card is ordered for production it takes a few weeks for it to get to you so I would assume they sent it to your old address. Call USCIS tomorrow and explain what happened. Good luck.

Edit: Make sure when you call USCIS you ask to speak to an ISO (tier 2) as they can look at your case details.

Thank you for your help. Appreciate it. Based on their message, do you think the card was already delivered or en route?

It says USPS delivered it. So yes the card was delivered to your address (likely your old address) on that day.

You will want to hurry up and chase up this issue because your green card is currently missing.
