need help with extending the petition

does anyone know how to extend the petition .. the consular officer extends it but how ?? what should i do? .. i dont have all the documents and its gonna take me more than 4 months to get them , so worried, its killing me :'(

The embassy extends the petition automatically.

If you are that worried about it send them an email letting them know its taking you long to get the papers together and ask them to extend it.

You can email them and copy the beneficiary on the email.. or the other way around. Either one of you can do it.

Yes, just email the embassy asking them to extend the petition. Usually, they automatically extend the petition but it never hurts to email them. That's what I did, and they extended the petition with no problem. Good luck to you both!
