I-94 at POE

Hi guys,

I'm traveling back to US and I was wondering if I have to fill up I-94 at my POE (in DWT Detroit). They took my I-94 from my passport at the airport before I left for Philippines. I'm a green card holder, do I have other forms to fill up once I arrive there?

Can you give me some advice on what to do at my POE? Will they interview me just like before when I first came in US by K1 visa? I have my green card (in my married name), Marriage Certificate, Passport (maiden name), Flight Itinerary (maiden name). Will that give me a problem?

By the way, do we have to re check our luggage at POE? Do they have carts there nearby the baggage carousel? Do I have to pay to use one? (I know it's a stupid question. I asked my husband about it but he told me he don't have any idea because he only brings one bag whenever he travels.)

Thank you! :)

GC holders do not fill out I-94. You will have to fill out a customs form (like everyone).

They might interview you at passport control. You have the proper documentation.

If traveling onward you will need to recheck luggage, yes. You have to have your luggage ready to inspect for customs, in case they want to inspect it. Then you recheck it so it goes on the plane to your destination. It's is all marked and there are people to help you.

The luggage carts costs, yes. It's a small fee mostly intended (in my opinion) so that people don't steal the carts.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Nope! NO I-94. Just complete the typical customs card and they always check luggage when re-entering the USA... for everyone. And yes they have carts by the carousel, at least they did at Honolulu POE.

You will be just fine. Enjoy your flight... long flights are always so much fun.

Not at the carousel going through customs, only at the carousel after is there a fee for the carts. Totally different carousels.
