Hello vjers pls I hope I don't sound stupid I just need to no if it really matters if you signed the ds-230 form or not before you send the package to NVC and does it affect the case in anyway.thanks

The DS-230 form HAS to be signed (just part 1 though, part 2 has to be signed at the interview in front of the IO). If part 1 is NOT signed, then NVC will issue a checklist.

Hey VJers, just have a few quick queries for NVC.

1. I am the beneficiary and have sent my choice of agent DS-3032 as an an email format to NVC and have made my USC wife the petitioner as my choice of agent. Please note that I have not attached the actual DS-3032 form which my wife(the petitioner)got in her email from NVC and it had my name and bar-code on it. Now, will my email be accepted by NVC or I actually have to sign and send the bar-coded form?

2. Will I need to send the bar-coded DS-3032 Form later on along with my civil docs?

3. When will I need to send in the DS-230 form, and to whom do |I send it, to NVC along with my other civil docs or to my wife(the petitioner)and then she will mail these to NVC? I have made my USC wife the petitioner as my choice of agent.

4. When sending my civil documents to NVC or to my wife, everywhere its mentioned Original/Certified copies(sorry for my ignorance;does that mean originals and certified or it means either of them?? My wife has my original Birth certificate and Marriage certificate which she used for the I-130.

Will appreciate any assistance. Thanks

Now, will my email be accepted by NVC or I actually have to sign and send the bar-coded form? Regular email will do. Have you received the auto-response? NVC usually replies with an acceptance or rejection e-mail about a week after sending the DS-3032 e-mail.

2. Will I need to send the bar-coded DS-3032 Form later on along with my civil docs? No, once you get the IV fee, that means your DS-3032 has already been accepted, and so you don't need to send it anymore.

3. When will I need to send in the DS-230 form, and to whom do |I send it, to NVC along with my other civil docs or to my wife(the petitioner)and then she will mail these to NVC? I have made my USC wife the petitioner as my choice of agent. It doesn't matter where it is shipped from, as long as NVC receives your files.

4. When sending my civil documents to NVC or to my wife, everywhere its mentioned Original/Certified copies(sorry for my ignorance;does that mean originals and certified or it means either of them?? My wife has my original Birth certificate and Marriage certificate which she used for the I-130. Either original or certified, AND a copy of each.

Will appreciate any assistance. Thanks

Yes, that's what the auto-response looks like. If you followed the template here on VJ, you should be OK. Just wait for them to send an acceptance or rejection e-mail.
