When to file the DS-230 part I and II?

Hello VJ members. I am a little confused as to when to submit the form DS-230 with my I-130? Does it go in with the petition? or later on? Thanks.

Ds230 not sent with i130.

I130 sent to uscis.

After approved and case sent to nvc, then you need the ds230

Ditto what bule&cantik said. A lot of people get confused when first starting out, and understandably so. Some important things to remember..

The I-130 is to prove Petitioner's US Citizenship/LPR and Relationship to the Beneficiary. That's basically it.

(it's like getting pre-qualified to show eligibility)

The DS-230 is the actual Visa application for the beneficiary (aka: applicant) to complete later in the NVC stage. Fill out entirely but only sign Part I.

(a lot of the other stuff happens in this stage also, and that's when you really have to be on the ball)
