Is that just medical or does it include dental?

From the time I've spent in the UK, their definition of 'dental'

just means yanking the whole tooth out and leaving a big gaping

toothy grin

At least that's the reason my husband gives for not visiting a dentist

A return Ticket, or at least onward ticket is required for the VWP.

I put off getting my wisdom teeth taken out for years. I finally got it done. Not much in life scares me, but dentists do. Mine here in DC seems rather good though. Evil sense of humour...

I got all 4 wisdom teeth yanked in 2007 while I was

still in the USA and had good medical/dental insurance

from my employer. I was allowed to be completely asleep

for the procedure and 4 weeks worth of vicodin. I even

got to keep one of my teeth for the 'tooth fairy'

When the big holes where my teeth used to be healed,

the tooth fairy bought me a steak dinner

Well, he did do it his way.

OP...I feel sorry for you...

I've decided not to apply for the B2 for similar reasons... better just use the VWP.

I'm also sad for some of the nasty responses in this thread... some people have maybe never left the US ;) Yes there are plenty of Americans traveling all over for little money and for months on end... just as we Europeans do :)

It's all a matter of priorities...you save money and then you go :)

Personally it's sounds like little money with $7000 for 6 months but I'm a big shopper hehe. Otherwise it's no problem to live on that amount....as long as you stay with friends it's no biggie.

Nobody from Europe goes to the US to get benefits or healthcare.... we already have that..

We go cos we enjoy it there and have friends there :)

And the working illegally... truth is he could have easily stayed on the VWP and done that but chose not to. Same with me and many others.

If someone truly wants to do that the fact they have a "normal fulltime" job at home is not gonna stop them... just sayin' ;)

Folks, it doesn't matter what any of us think is a appropriate period of time for a vacation, but immigration does not define a 6 months stay as a acceptable period of time foe visitors to the US needs to enjoy the amenities that the US has to offer.

Being the the CO and the CO at POE has the final and last words on anyones stay or visit to the US, those who wish to visit the US needs to start thinking and planning accordling in terms of these guidelines that are being utilized by those who has the power.

All else that is being stated and agrued here are just words on a paper.

I am vaguely interested to see what happens if as I would assume a VWP entry is attempted.

I went to an Oral surgeon here in Arlington and he was excellent. I did the whole general anaesthetic too, there is no way I was not! I was given a scrip for Hydrocodone but hardly used half of them. Either he was really good or I got lucky, but I had no bad pain at all.
