Hi all,

Just sent my K1 application yesterday. Thuy and I are so happy even though this is just the beginning. I just want to share that info with you guys and update as we find out more. One quick question, how long does it take from the day we send out the apps to the interview date, given there are no hiccups along the road? I live in Northern CA.

You will get an NOA1 in the mail.... start getting all of the paperwork together.. It will be about 5 months until it gets sent to NVC.. could be sooner but expect 5...

Hello :)

Now you sit back and wait for your NOA2...which is the petition approval notice from USCIS. Waiting is always the hard part. If you have the ability to do so, try to visit your fiancee and spend time with her. Also, try to find a hobby or something to keep your mind distracted. This 'visa journey' can be demanding and stressful.

In a couple of months or so, start reading up on what you need to do once you get the NOA2. If you have questions, please ask. Good luck!
