No, you need one for AOS and ROC as well if you want to track your petitions. Please read up on the full process of immigration.

If it was approved it would say they approved the petition on the status. You would have gotten a notice /email about the update/approval if you were signed up for them.

Yes we did. Our NOA1 got an email confirmation. We signed a form regarding auto-confirmation that's why we are wondering why we haven't receive an email for our NOA2.;) Do you think we still need to call the USCIS?
