Hello all!!

I have a silly question and i cant find any topic about that, yes about NBC but not my questions, actually i have 2 questions.

Im intered as k1, and im on AOS trip.... i already had my biometrics, and now I checked the site and it says this:

"On May 11, 2012, we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for June 18, 2012, at NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER. Please follow the instructions on the notice."

It states my app. is going to be at the NBC, So my question is, Where is the NBC, im trying to find out, and i can only find address for service centers, so im starting to feel afraid ill have to travel very far for a NBC!!!

And also, if they already sent me an appointment day, does it mean there is not RFE? or it happened to someone to get RFE after they got their appointment?

Thx so much!!

Sorry could not find the answer to my first question on the forum search, but i just found the answer googling it, is here>>>>> ANSWER

Still wonder on the RFE

NBC is in Lee's Summit, MO.

You will have your interview at your local USCIS office. Wait for an interview letter to arrive in the mail.

From USCIS web page:

To serve USCIS Field Offices, the NBC will complete all necessary pre-interview

processing of I-485 Adjustment of Status cases, including conducting background

security checks, initial evidence review, adjudication of associated I-765 and

I-131 applications (filed with the I-485 or separately), denial of adjustment of

status cases for applicants who are statutorily ineligible, and forwarding

scheduled cases to the USCIS Field Office for adjudication.

A unique function of the NBC is that the Center utilizes a Lockbox facility,

located in Chicago Illinois. The Lockbox is a bank under contract with the

Department of Treasury that performs fee receipting, fee deposit and initial

data entry for specified Forms according to business rules established by USCIS.

The Lockbox then forwards all properly filed cases to the NBC for the

pre-interview processing steps listed above.

Yes, the email interview system is relatively new and it incorrectly states your interview is there, because that is who generates the notice. The interview will be at your local office and you'll get a letter in the mail soon.

My interview is on June 18, too. I received an e-mail notification that my appointment notice and instructions were mailed out on May 9. The noticed arrived on May 11.

Give it a few days or maybe even tomorrow you'll receive by mail. The notice informs you of the date, time, address, and a check list of things you should bring. Good luck!

05/11/2012 - NOA received with instructions. Request to appear for initial interview

You can get RFE at any time, even at the interview. Chances are increasing that you will not have one, however. They try to take care of that before interview is scheduled, but they might have missed something.
