Hey guys/gals.

Curious on a few things about the I-134 for the K1 Visa Application process.

First off, is Sweden one of the countries that you have to tick (I intend) when filling out that form? Because we have read that it's not needed, but also have read that for some countries, it is. So I am curious to find out if Sweden is one of them.

Second question being that since I just started a new job (I have a few paystubs from the old job, which I am going to submit with the form) do I need to go ahead and put a letter with those paystubs from the old job, letting them know that I just started? I am getting the letter of employment from the new job with the salary info and start date and such. I just want to make sure I cover all bases here.

Thanks for the answers to these questions :D

No matter which country, it is the beneficiary responsibility to show they will not become public charge. If the beneficiary, for example, has $100,000 cash, likely they would not require the 134. In most cases, the fiancee beneficiary cannot alone prove they will not become public charge, which is why the 134 sponsorship would then be needed.

If you do not want to leave the boxes unchecked, like on the example form, then just check 'Intend' and then put "K-1 visa process for permanent residence" on the line.

Your 2011 tax transcript should show what you made at your old job. Just provide the letter from your current employer along with a few months worth of your most recent pay stubs. That should prove what your current income is.
