Can't get tax transcript

I just recently filed my taxes and got me refund about a day ago. I just tried to order tax transcripts but can't- neither by internet nor by phone. Is that because they are too recent? Also, is there any other form for recent tax history that would serve as proof of income?

You have to wait about 10 to 14 days after filing for the transcript to be available

You can submit a copy of your tax return along with copies of all the supporting documents.

Proof of current income is typically shown with recent paystubs and an employer letter. Unless you are self employed, then the income shown on line 22 of your tax return is the amount used.

Thanks. How long does it take for a transcript to arrive after I order one? Also, would they take a tax return I print out myself? I intend to get a letter from my employer too.

Yes, a copy of your tax return is acceptable. Be sure to to also send copies of the W2//1099 and any other schedules associated with that tax return. That is why they prefer the transcripts.

Transcripts take a week or two. If available in the system, they can fax them to you within a few hours.

Can take anywhere 5 to 10 days. I called IRS because I did not receive it. They FAX it to me, but informed me that FAX is not a secure way to receive this information. Well the mail system is not as good either. Anyone can steal your mail. I told the IRS that I needed the transcripts for the immigration interview. I also got the letter from my job and bank letters (Read the Supporting Evidence instructions for the I-134)(http://www.uscis.gov.../i-134instr.pdf). Have my W-2's going back 3 years. Got copies of my taxes for the past 2 years. I also have copies of my pay stubs going back 2 years. Good luck.
