Hi everyone, I'm sure this question must have been asked loads of times before but I am a little confused about how my wife is supposed to fill out the I864 form. I am the beneficiary living in Ireland with my wife who is the petitioner. Obviously since my wife is temporarily living with me here in Ireland she has no US income so we are getting her Dad to be the joint sponsor as he can cover the total cost. Now I understand my wife still needs to fill out the I864 even though she doesn't qualify to sponsor me from an income point of view, I understand she needs to prove that she is domiciled in the US and thats fine but should she just N/A question 21 to do with household size? and what about question 22? she is employed currently in Ireland, does this need to be reported as well as adjusting what her income is to dollars for question 23? This all seems completely irrelevant as she will be leaving this job shortly to go back to the US. Questions 24 and 25 also seem pointless for her to fill in? Should all these be left blank or N/A? Does anyone know what the current procedure is here? Thanks for any help.

Telling the truth is the first thing. Why face a denial or ban by choosing to lie?

Every person has a household size. Why would you consider answering: N/A? Assuming that neither of you have children or dependents the household size for the US citizen would be 2.

If she's working, she reports the income. Both on this form and her US tax return.

Completing the forms thoroughly helps because an incomplete form results in delays as you would be sent an RFE (request for evidence) asking for a completed form.

Reading the form directions will really help you. These basic questions are addressed. If you still can't grasp things, these FAQ may be helpful >>> http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3183.html

Hey thanks for the reply but I think you misunderstood what I was asking, of course we have a household size and it would be two but the point I am making is this; is this info not irrelevant as my wife has no income to sponsor me with as we will obviously both be moving to the States where we don't have employment as of yet, therefore isn't this info section as well as all the other sections regarding household income etc N/A or 'not applicable' to my case when she fills it out as her Dad will be filing the I864 separately as a joint sponsor who is covering ALL of the income requirements? I hope I am making sense here, of course if she is reqired to fill in this info then she will, I just don't see the point of it.
