My husband is an US citizen and we apptlied for the IR-1/CR-1, we are waiting for the documents to be sent to the NVC but Ive got a question.

When they give me my immigration visa, does my husband has to come to my country and travel with me to enter to the USA?

Thanks!

Hi Mishadi,

No, your husband does not have to come to your country and take you back to enter the states. Once you receive your visa you will receive a sealed envelope which you cannot open...you will take this with you once you enter the states and hand it to the immigration officer at the Port of Entry. Your husband does not have to be with you unless you want him to be.... :)

God delays but doesn't forget.

No he does not. However, you have not applied for any visa yet. Your husband filed a petition. If it has been approved, you will apply for the visa during the NVC stage of the process.
