What's so dangerous about that intersection? Try driving in NYC

You haven't yet had to share the road with 4-legged animals (in addition to the 2-legged ones).

Sure I have :D

The driving in Pakistan/Afghanistan is crazy like that. You drive in whatever lane you want. I loved when they would scare the heck out of me by waiting until the very last itty bitty second to change lanes before hitting the object in front of them. But after a while it was all normal to me just like Stina said.

wow you guys have LANES in Pakistan? sweet. India don't got no lanes. Except for the big cities.

yeah some of the parts we were in had lanes, traffic police AND traffic lights but no one seemed to care. Even if you end up hitting someone you could bribe your way out of it.

Pictures I took in India, first one with black and white film. (I know I've posted this one before.) Cows and traffic. Took these from inside the car.

We never paid bridge tolls in India. You're supposed to but our driver said if you keep driving and don't stop, they won't bother comign after us.. the cops are too lazy.

Now how about if that intersection in the India video were in a town the size of Elmira, Gettysburg or Tifton, GA? (couldn't actually say exactly where, but I doubt it was Mumbai due to the comparative LACK of crowd).

Makes me think of the "traffic cop" I saw in Afghanistan just hanging out at his post while there was chaos all around him. There's one of him and loads of careless drivers...

I drove in Chennai, Navi mumbai, it's a very tough task, just did it for the thrill of it, The difficult part is the stick shift being on the left hand side so if you are not left handed it feels very weird. I stop driving because one time i was going to make a left turn then almost went toward incoming traffic, good thing there was a red light for the incoming traffic.

Traffic is crazy, motorcycle gets on the sidewalk when the road is full leaving nowhere for pedestrian to walk, the autorickshaw cuts you off like mad, but after a while you get used to it.

Gone but not Forgotten!

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

rofl

Actually, that reminds me of a recent news item out of India. Apparently, a prominent Muslim organization in India issued a fatwa recently saying Indian Muslims should no longer purchase insurance. According to the Indian news media, the popular reaction from Indian Muslims was a loud, long "yawn".

In this case "insurance" = bribing cops/officials to look other way.

As Gupt stated, many muslims also follow this--so the fatwa to stop buying insurance had no effect.
