Interview notice received yesterday! :) But still no EAD/AP touches?

Most of the May filers are by NOW getting EADS/AP/Interview Notice today. All I got is interview notice only BUT I did not even get an ALERT by EMAIL or SMS as USCIS has been doing previously. I am sure I requested a notification mail and sms.

I only manage to check that my interview mail letter has been set is by manually checking the website. Had I not checked it I would not have known that.

Has anyone experienced my situation, because most of the May Filers are getting EADS first before interview which is very normal.

Can anyone advise.

Thanks.

----AOS Journey-----------------

04/28/12 - Mailed AOS package

05/03/12 - E-mail/text notifications received (NOA)

05/09/12 - Appointment notice for biometrics received

06/12/12 - Biometrics done

07/12/12 - website update saying they mailed an Interview Letter Notice

EAD/AP ---- ???????????????

08/15/2012 --- GC Interview

Have you creAte an account on the uscis website? Even if I did send the notification form with my package, I did sign up for an account and checked the case for email updates only, no text. 2 days ago, I did receive an email update about my interview, no text. But BTW, this update service can be very unreliable. I've never experienced problem with it but lots of people have reported not receiving updates at all, even if they requested for it, so don't worry.

Also, you got an interview relatively fast, and like me, that's possible you'll receive your EAD/AP maybe a few days before your interview. Consider yourself lucky (I do!), lots of other people get their EAD/AP but then wait very very long until their GC interview.

Thank you!

Looks like yours should be coming soon, too.

Then we wait around for the Green Card which looks like it's taking MONTHS to process! Hope to have by the end of the year! :bonk: :bonk:

NOT relatively fast...yours is FAST. Do I need to create an account in USCIS website to get notifications? because i believe i submitted a form to get notification in either sms or email. Im one of the few unlucky May Filers not getting the normal process.. AS I have not received my EAD CARD yet while some have already during this time.

I dont know how USCIS processes these such applications..should have they done this by FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis!!! I can see that June Filers are already receiving EAD Approvals...

I am just annoyed as I have already incoming interviews but cant proceed because i Dont have this darn EAD!!

you can have my EAD, I will take your interview notice.. lol

EAD is useless as soon as you have you GC, so I don't know why you get so angry .

Getting ready for the interview is the most important thing to do now

Good luck!

So all the May filers who have received your EAD... how many of you people have jobs already/interviews lined up? Are they jobs that you have experience with, or are you working/looking for work in different areas?

Anyone who does NOT have the EAD yet, what line of work are you hoping to go into? Have you applied for jobs yet?

We're awaiting the EAD. My husband's will be taking a job that's nowhere near what he was working at in Egypt. Going from working in accounting to cooking in a resturant. That's a major change for him to adjust to. So glad he found work and hoping for the EAD soon.

Well that's great that he already has something work out. Just needs the EAD and he'll be good to go!

I'm still applying for stuff. Hoping to hear back from places soon! Fingers crossed!
