Moving from Student & Exchange Visitor Visas to Adjustment of Status from Family Based Visas forum as topic is closely related to the AOS process.

OP, if I understand your question correctly, you are asking what steps need to be taken so your husband will not be denied re-entry to the US after you are married?

After you marry in the US, your husband will need to apply for Adjustment of Status (AOS) in order to obtain a green card. If he wishes to travel internationally prior to AOS being approved, he will need to apply for and be granted Advanced Parole (AP); if he leaves the US without having AP in hand, his AOS application will be considered abandoned and you would have to start the process over again with a petition for a spousal visa.

AP can be applied for at the same time the AOS paperwork is filed. Be aware that AP is not granted right away, it will take many weeks or months before an AP document is in hand. In some instances, AOS is approved and the green card is in hand before an AP document is ever seen.

Welcome to the forum.

Please refer to the site's Adjustment of Status guide, (AOS) guide, pay particular attention to the Advanced Parole (AP) process. Heed Ryan H's excellent advice.

He would enter the US and you two would marry, then submit for AOS and optionally submit for AP to travel. IF it is granted it could take 3 months or more. Once he has AP or a green card, travel is ok. Beware of other factors that could affect travel and don't pay for anything until you know you are good to go.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
