Has USCIS cashed your check Jessie?

Nope.. I called them yesterday and they said I will wait 1 month and it drives me nuts. Cuz some applicants sent theirs this week and they got txt and email but not me..just frustrated..

Hello everybody! I'm new in this community but we just started the application process and I'm so looking forward to some progress!!

We sent off the whole package saturday afternoon (april 21st) and I just got the text and E-mail with the NOA! I'm so excited! We'll see when the actual letters and dates for the biometrics appointment get here :)

We are in the same boat! I got my email notification yesterday...

Day 00: 01/12/12 - Got Married

Day 00: 04/23/12 - Sent forms I-130, I-485 and I-765 to Chicago

Started: 04/24/12 - PK received by L. Martin @ 10:28am

Day 02: 04/26/12 - 3 Emails/text's received from USCIS @ 3:45pm

Day 03: 04/27/12 - Checks cashed in the afternoon...

Day 07: 05/01/12 - NOA 1 (I-130), 2 (I-485) and 3 (I-765) on the mail.

Day 10: 05/04/12 - Biometrics Notification in mail (appointment set for 05/17)

Day 10: 05/04/12 - Early Biometrics done (No problems at all).

Day 44: 06/05/12 - Notification of Interview received by text and email at 6:15am, for 07/11/2012.

Day 50: 06/11/12 - NOA in the mail for Interview in Houston, TX at 10:00am (day 80).

Day 65: 06/26/12 - Notification of EAD in production.

Day 68: 06/29/12 - Second notification of EAD in production.

Day 72: 07/03/12 - Third notification... USPS picked up mail from USCIS containing new card (EAD).

Day 74: 07/05/12 - EAD ON MY HANDS!!!

Day 80: 07/11/12 - Interview (10:00am), APPROVED on the spot! First notification (Card on production) @ 4:30pm.

Day 81: 07/12/12 - Notification email received, I-130 Approved and mailed notice that I am "registred as new permanent resident status".

Day 88: 07/19/12 - GREEN CARD ON MY HANDS!!!

No waiting any more!!!...

Email and text response from USCIS -04/25/2012 6.02 pm ( Immediately transferred to NBC-not sure if that is a good or bad thing from what Ive read...)

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

Hi !

We filed April 25th and still no email or text...I'm starting to stress out...I double checked everything Im so worried something might get wrong....How long does it usually take to receive something? It says they got the package on April 27th so a friday morning...I really hope we have something tomorrow or monday because its driving me nuts!

Second RFE Review: July 30th, 2012 Hopefully now things will move on!

Email for Interview scheduled September 19th, August 14th 2012

Hi,don't worry sometimes it takes 1 month for you to get a notification from them.. We got a rejection notice because I signed at the wrong box.. We sent it back last sat. And they got it Monday.. they attached a green paper saying to put in the front to flag them that it was resubmitted or maybe to process it right away some received text/email as early as 2 day and didn't hear from them still..let just wait and pray.. I know your worried but patience is the key..gudluck

Hello everyone, I'd liketo share my story which was a bit devastating!

First of on my K1 Visa my I-64 "Departure Record" said it was expired by April 5th. So after getting married my main concern "which was very stressful" to send my AOS packet before April 5th because I had thought that if I didn't send it by that day I was going to get denied. By that means, I was in such a rush and really stressed out on putting everything together. I finish putting everything together by April 3rd. I had no idea where to send the packet, at the time it was April 4th and I was stuck inside the post office. I grabbed my phone and searched up the adress on where to send the packet. Because I was in such pressure the first page of USCIS I found and said "if I live in California,coloroda etc. (variety of states)" send your packet to Phoenix,AZ. So that's exactly where I sent it thinking it was the correct adress. Later that day at night I did a bit of more research and found that the adress where I was suppose to send it was Chicagos Lock box. You can imagine how I felt! I sent out the packet on express mail so there was nothing I could do. That's where I literally lost it, I was in such anger and stress so I decided just to wait and wish for the best. 3 weeks after I received a letter from them stating they have received my packet and my payment for 1040.00$ I still didn't know what was going on. 3 days after I received another letter and said that my appointment for biometrics is may 17. Once I received that letter I knew everything had come to normality and my process is now fine :) now I'm stress free and just wishing for the best and for this to be over ! Thanks for the time ;)

Firstly congratulations on your good fotrune. im happy the story did not end in devastation as the title had implied! good luck for the rest of your visa journey. one tip... always download and read the instructions for your forms. advance preparedness could've saved you much stress.

Ok. So today I received another letter from USCIS stating that I needed to file form I-864 .... Any idea why or what that means? I filed I-864A because my father in law is my sponsor so I thought I had filed the correct one! Should i be worried or whats happening now? Any answers will be appreciated.

hi again. The petitioner , your spouse must file form 864 whether or not she is the financial sponsor. you were right go have your relative file 864a if he is not a member of your household.

Hi All April 2012 AOS filers. Just to let u all know I am not far behind u all. I filed in march and as much as the waiting is dreadful and nerve wrecking we got to do it and have patience. I was very worried myself and anxious only last few days finally I got an update so u guys hang in there and think positive. Let the system take it course. Good luck everyone... :dance: :dance: :star:

March 19th - received NOA

April 13th - Biometrics

May 03rd - notified of interview (06/13/2012)

May 06th - received interview letter in mail

May 11th - received notification of EAD card in production

May 19th - EAD in hand

May 23rd - Applied for SSC

May 29th - Received social security card in mail (card in hand)

June 13th - Interview (approved on the spot)

June 13th - got notification of approval

June 18th - Card in production (also received welcome letter in mail)

June 21st - Green Card in hand

End of this journey....
