Interview: Didn't ask for Passport Pictures!

Hi everyone,

I had my interview yesterday and all went well, I was approved yay! But when I got in the car, I realized they never asked for my passport photos! The lady at the first window you go to told me that this was one of her few times working alone and had to ask the lady at the second window for help from time to time...

When I reached the consulate window, he didn't ask for them either... now hopefully i'll still be able to get my passport back within a few days...

Anyone know how long it takes for a DHL pickup?

I hope I don't have to send the passport pictures back and wait again.... GRRR, and at the time, I didn't think about it I was a nervous wreck, I literally have no finger nails left and the interview lasted only 2 mins!!!

Thanks for your help!

If it were me--and I was still in Montreal, I would go back, the guards can always take it and hand them in.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

My fiancee had her interview yesterday and they didn't ask for the photos either. She wasn't asked for half the stuff on the checklist either, I think they just ask you to bring it in case they don't have it. Her interview went well and she was approved. She was told she would get her passport back in 5 days.

Since you're not still in Montreal, perhaps wait. If you receive a notice indicating they need them, take them in.

Since someone else mentioned Montreal didn't take theirs either, you may well not even have a problem!

Fingers crossed

Congrats to you as well :) Did they tell you how long it would take to receive your passport back? My fiancee was told 5 days. We are hoping that is the case. I'm flying up next Thursday for the big move.

That happened to us too. :) Actually, I sent in passport photos with P3 because I was told to, and was told to bring more photos to the interview. When I gave them the photos at the interview (I just tossed them on top of the stack that she had asked for) she handed them back to me and said they didn't need those. Saved us from having to make another trip for AOS, I suppose. :)
