My lawyer just informed me that I should have a response to my case by Feb 23, 2013. This is based on a call my lawyer made to the USCIS customer service. Take this information for what it's worth. I'll update with any information I get when I get it.

Enjoy the weekend and for people in the Northeast region, stay safe.

Regards,

Anil

Hello anil2013 , Wow that's a good news and its very accurate, i will explain why now: i also called them by the end of last month, and they told me i should receive a response by the 22 of Feb2013, so considering our priority dates are a day away and the response we got from the customer service representatives are a day away also, it seems like they have that archived on their system, so it seems like they finally going to work on us !!!!!!......THANKS GOD !!!!!!FINALLY IM ABOUT TO GET OUT OF THIS NIGHTMARE.

ENJOY THE SNOW GUYS, I WILL HAVE TO BE FIGHTING WITH THE BLIZZARD THIS EVENIGHT AS I WILL GO TO WORK FOR A OVERNIGHT SHIFT TODAY BECAUSE OF THE WORKERS GOT SICK , SO I WILL ENJOY THE SNOW TODAY MORE THAN ANYONE (THE WHOLE NIGHT HEHEHEHEHEH)

I am finally approved today. I upgraded my case on nov. 6, 2012 to IR1. A combined wait of 20 months to get a decision.

Thanks jrh39, N Ahmed. I am praying for everyone to get approved. It makes no sense why they are doing this to f2a. It is more than unfair. People who are eligible for service requests should do so. I sent them 3 service requests and a letter to ombudsman. Lets hope they start f2a right away.

It took USCIS three months to approve your petition after the upgrade? Ouch! We are hoping to upgrade our case in June, and I had expected that approval would then be a matter of weeks, not months.

My F2A/IR-1 journey:

USCIS:
4 August 2011: I-130 sent (while husband permanent resident)
8 August 2011: Priority date
16 April 2013: NOA2

NVC:

7 May 2013: Case number received, DS-3032 sent

15 May 2013: AOS bill received and paid

16 May 2013: AOS package sent

17 May 2013: DS-3032 accepted

20 May 2013: IV bill received and paid

21 May 2013: IV package sent

11 June 2013: response to IV checklist sent

13 June 2013: Case upgraded to CR1

2 July 2013: Case completed

28 August 2013: Interview - approved!

21 September 2013: POE

18 November 2013: Green card received

My husband's citizenship journey:

8 February 2013: N-400 sent
4 March 2013: Biometrics
24 April 2013: Interview
12 June 2013: Oath ceremony

The approvals are probably sent by an automated service, I doubt they work on weekends. Still, it's great to see that some people are getting approved!
