Hi All,

We were accepted at NVC today but when I called the operator he said they would contact us in 20 days or so.

What I want to know is if this is normal or not? I was under the impression that we would be assigned a case number and then we could do everything online? (I'm a Montreal beneficiary.)

Any help or guidance would be appreciated!

Thank you.

Has a case number been assigned? If so, read this wiki.

If the file is in the building, but a case number has not yet been assigned, it will take time before a number is assigned (the length of time can vary).

The first post is full of useful information. Be sure to click on the link for Montreal beneficiaries. Plus we have a lot of fun in there :)

Once you get a case number, things will fly from there. Currently it's taking about 3 weeks to get a case number. Don't wait on NVC to contact you, be proactive and a pain in NVCs ####### and you'll get things done a lot faster!

I second that last sentence. Call them once or twice a day as often as you want and/or can. You will definitely get things done faster.
