Wife and I are applying for naturalization. Can we mail our N-400 forms and checks together? If so, do we make one check for both or 2 separate ones?

Thanks.

hi,

separate everything. 2 different people. 2 forms, 2 checks, copy front and back of each GC.

Do two envelopes , each with its own check - that way if one application has problems the other one can move forward.

Then put both envelopes in one larger envelope together.

This is what we did and our applications stayed together the whole process

Only time the USCIS treated us as a couple was during the AOS stage, after that, my wife was strictly on her own, but sure had to supply plenty of evidence we were living together. Seems very strange since her immigration was based strictly on our marriage. For that I-751 and that naturalization, each of you are on your own, keep that separate.

We sent everything separate in separate mailings.

USCIS did a good job and moved our application in parallel; i.e., biometrics, interview, and oath were all at the same dates.
