Hello,

After I Paid the AOS fees on line, I received a payment receipt stating Payment Status as "IN PROGRESS" - The payment later was cleared from the bank.

The receipt instruction indicates the followings: -

"1. When the IV fee payment status is PAID, each applicant must submit an Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration. If your case was initiated after October 4, 2010 and your case number begins with AMM, ATH, BGH, LMA, MEP, or MTL you must submit your visa application form online. Otherwise you must submit the" paper version of the form.

I have not received any notification after that to indicate that the payment status is PAID. I am not sure what to do next knowing that it has been two weeks since the payment was cleared from the bank.

I have also received the "DOCUMENT COVER SHEET" to submit the Affidavit of Support. Should I submit the Afifidavit of Support eventhough I haven't receive the notification that the payment status for AOS is "PAID"?

I have also mailed the DS-3032 about two weeks ago and haven't receive acceptance confirmation. Do I need to re-send it?

Thanks for your help.

You can always call them and ask them if they have received the payment and they will tell you, if they have you can start sending the AOS and DS-230 (Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration). When you look at the receipt on the bottom it should say something about IV processing or something like that, I dont quite remember and when you click it, it will tell you what to send in next, which for me I understood that I should send the DS-230 and Police Clearance and then they sent me a checklist with the AOS and other things they want me to send to them. But if you want to know for sure just call the number and ask them and they'll let you know what to do next.

Good Luck!!

I don't think they mail you anything to confirm payment, inside the payment website it tells you to check back after 2-3 days to see if the payment status has changed to paid. I'm sure if it cleared your bank then you're fine, you can always log back in now and check if you want to make sure.

expect nothing to be emailed about payment confirmation.

use the online payment portal, instead.

there are specific instructions in the barcode cover sheet.

a good indication that the ds-3032 is placed INTO the casefile is that the IV fee bill (for the DS-230, the visa application) is showing up 'to be paid' online at the payment portal.

So, when you look at the payment portal today - whatcha got?

also - bear in mind that the IV fee bill has dropped from 404 to 230 this month - this has caused a delay with NVC generating the IV fee bills for most folk already in the pipe.

If you've not logged in for a bit - you should have a nice surprise this weekend; supposedly NVC got their problems with this new IV fee bill fixed for all.

Ultimately, if you not have the IV fee bill showing to be paid in the portal, call NVC and ask for an IV fee bill to be emailed to you. This will push some things at NVC, which can be useful if'n your casefile got snagged in the lag.

Good Luck !

Thanks guys, that was very helpful. I checked online and saw the payment status updated to "PAID".

I also, received an e-mail this morning for the IV application processing fee invoice and paid it online.

I filled out the Affidavit of Support application signed it and scanned it along with the last year Federal income tax return, the W-2 form, and the AOS document cover sheet and e-mailed it to NVCElectronic@state.gov

When I complete the IV application DS-203, can I e-mail it along with the supporting documents or does it have to mail it as a hard copy?

Electronic Processing is not available for Egypt, the AOS forms and paperwork you emailed to the NVC will be rejected. You will need to send those items by regular mail.

You will also have to send the DS-230 and accompanying documentation by regular mail.

Thanks, I mailed in the AOS application and the supportive documents to NVC.

Can the applicant SCAN and e-mail the complete and singed IV application DS-203 along with civil documents (Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Police Record, and Passport copy) to me (The petitioner/Approved Agent)? Then the I mail it to NVC? Or All these documents must be mailed to me, then I mail it to NVC?

My concern is that it will save us time if the original documents can be scanned and e-mailed to me rather than mail.

Your advice is very much appreciated.

Some of the required original civil documents such as Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate of applicant were submitted earlier in the process with the I-130 application.

Do I need to re-submit these ORIGINAL documents again with DS-230? or photocopies are acceptable?

NVC requires both: 1. original or certified copies AND 2. photocopies.

As far as I know, USCIS does not require originals.

USCIS

Then you did it wrong, and did not follow the instructions with the I-130.

I'm sorry.
