Dominican Republic Fees

I am hoping someone in here can give me some help in trying to budget for all the fees that will need to be paid in the DR for a Spousal Visa. Can someone give me a heads up that has been through this process there or someone knowledgeable in the subject? Looking for a budget of all fees, including the medical fees, delivery fees, interview, etc...

Thank you

No no, at the cita we only have to pay the banco popular fee which is $15 and domex $12.50 if approved. Not sure where does other fees came from, maybe for K-1.

CR-1 fees are:

I-130 - $420

AOS - $88

IV - either $304 or $230 (they changed it recently so I am not totally positive)

Medical - $350

Police cert - I forgot how much this but not more than couple hundred pesos

Banco popular fee - $15

Domex - $12.50

DR Passport - I forgot also, but a couple thousand pesos

These are the ones I can remember off the top of my head. This does not include fees to get BC and MC legalized. To retrieve a BC or MC it's 300 pesos plus another 300 pesos to get each legalized.

I hope this helps. :star:

You guys are great, thank you for all the responses. This can be a confusing time and I know we all have much to look forward to. I know my wife and I are so excited to get this moving. I have another question. Why, from the looks of other people on VJ, is the process faster than others? I see some people receiving their NOA-2 30 days after there NOA-1...we are approaching 90 days....is this a bad sign? The suspense is killing me.

It's all luck. My petition was at the vermont service center and it was approved in one month. Other people sent even before me and waited over 6 months and their petitions were at california service center. But then there are few petitions that are at CSC for a short amount of time and others at VSC for a long time. IT'S ALL LUCK. And obviously if you make a mistake on your petition or fail to send required documents that will further delay your case.

If you don't have any patience, you will learn to have it during this process. Wishing you the best of luck.

So true. I waited. .. 5 month's 29 days for my NOA2. Of course from CSC... Glad i am past that hurdle.

Hello,

I'm a little confused now about some of the fees:

Medical - $350 before May 1 after May 1 $290

Police cert - $330 pesos .

DR Passport- $1850 pesos regular

IV- $230

What's the DR Passport Fee? Is that to obtain a passport or to do something with a DR passport already held? My husband has a passport.

Is the IV fee of $230 (which I already paid) payment for the actual visa? Or is there another fee that I will have to pay at the Consulate for the visa?

I'm too nervous to book a ticket for my husband to come to U.S. not knowing when the actual visa will arrive in his city, so I'm going to use reward miles to come back. Has anyone ever done that? If so, was there any problems?

this site is so helpful! Thanks so much.
